Coin Story

A leopard frog can mean any frog of about 14 species within the true frog genus. They are generally similarly coloured - green with prominent black spotting that sometimes appears as a leopard pattern. They are distinguished by their distribution and certain rather subtle ecological, behavioural, morphological and genetic traits. Their range in the North-American subcontinent extends throughout temperate and subtropical North America to northern Mexico, with some species found even further south. They are also found in Europe.

Reverse Design

The reveres captures a (venetian glas) leopard frog sitting on a beautifully designed water-lily. The flower and the frog are coloured and therefore, they offset themselves from the silver background.

Obverse Design

The obverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Water Lily with Leopard Frog 1oz Silver coin comes encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint maroon flock-lined clamshell case lined with a black flock and protected by a black sleeve. Also accompanied by a serialised certificate - your proof of ownership for this coin and evidence that the coin has been individually inspected by our resident quality assurance specialists.
