Coin Story

Three from Prostokvashino is a 1978 Soviet animated film based on the children's book Uncle Fyodor, His Dog and His Cat by Eduard Uspensky. The film has two sequels, Vacation in Prostokvashino (1980) and Winter in Prostokvashino (1984).

The main character is a six-year-old boy who is called Uncle Fyodor, because he is very serious. After his parents don't let him keep Matroskin, a talking cat, Uncle Fyodor leaves his home. With the dog Sharik, the three set up a home in the country, a village called "Buttermilk". There, they have many adventures, some involving the local mailman, Pechkin.

Reverse Design

The reverses of these coins depict Sharik playing with a cow, and Matroskin entertaining some folks in a restaurant. The Coins are beautifully designed and in color.

Obverse Design

The obverse features a portrait of the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II.

The coins come in a cowbell box, which is doing a great job in staging these special coins. You will also get the Certificate of Authenticity.
