Coin Story

The Australian Cattle Dog, or simply Cattle Dog, is a breed of herding dog originally developed in Australia for driving cattle over long distances across rough terrain. The Australian Cattle Dog is a medium-sized, short-coated dog that occurs in two main colour forms. It has either brown or black hair distributed fairly evenly through a white coat, which gives the appearance of a "red" or "blue" dog.
By purchasing this coin, you are making a donation of $1 to the RSPCA Australia, which relies on community support to provide care for animals in need.

Reverse Design

The coin’s reverse portrays an adult Australian Cattle Dog and a puppy in colour, set against background silhouettes of rural scenery. As well as a decorative pattern of paw prints, the coin design also includes the inscriptions WORKING DOGS and AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG – HERDING DOG.

Obverse Design

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin depicts the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2011 year-date on the obverse.

The Working Dogs - Australian Cattle Dog silver coin comes encapsuled in a presentation case (+ a signature box), with a Certificate of Authenticity.
