Coin Story

The Judo coin is the first coin from the "Art of Fighting" series. In 2011 yet the "Wushu" coin is supposed to be issued. In 2012 an issue of "Karate" and "Koch" (Armenian style) are planed.

Reverse Design

The reverse features two groups of fighting sportsmen on a background of a landscape specific for Japan - cherry blossom on Fuji mountain background, inscriptions: "Judo" (in English and Armenian), and "Ag925"

Obverse Design

The obverse features the Eishoji temple in Kamakura, where prof. Jigor Kan founded the first Judo school, inscriptions: "Republic of Armenia", "1000 Dram" in English and Armenian, and "2011".


The Art of Fighting - Judo coin comes encapsuled with a Certificate of Authenticity.
